Process Engineering Manager

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a global automotive parts manufacturer who is looking to add a new Process Engineering Manager to their injection molding team in Austin, TX. The Process Engineering Manager will lead process optimization and injection molding operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is critical for ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance while driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure stable injection molding operations while consistently achieving 95% productivity targets.
  • Drive SMED initiatives for faster mold changes and implement TPM programs across machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Lead mold trials, process optimization, and qualification efforts using scientific molding principles and Design of Experiments (DoE).
  • Oversee production teams and deliver technical training on injection molding systems and best practices.
  • Maintain peak performance of automation systems, end-of-arm tooling, and feeding equipment.
  • Uphold compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 requirements.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Requirements & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. PE license preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with engineering plastics or injection molding processes (preferred).
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage supervisors, technicians, and operators.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and engineering tools.
