We are partnering with a leading international logistics organisation to appoint a commercially driven Sales Director specialising in airfreight solutions for the retail sector. This role is based in Greater London and offers a high-impact opportunity to drive revenue growth, expand key accounts, and deliver tailored logistics solutions in a fast-moving, customer-centric environment.
The Sales Director will play a critical role in developing and executing the company's airfreight sales strategy, with a particular focus on retail and e-commerce customers requiring agile, time-sensitive supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive airfreight growth across retail accounts
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within retail and consumer sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with internal operations and solution design teams to deliver customised logistics offerings
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage contract development with clients
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Deliver against revenue targets and KPIs, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth
- Provide leadership and mentorship to sales teams where applicable
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in airfreight sales within a logistics or supply chain environment
- Strong experience working with retail, fashion, or e-commerce clients
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing key accounts
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop tailored, value-driven logistics solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Results-oriented, with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach
