Director of Indirect Category Management
A leading investment and technology-focused organization is seeking a Global Category Leader, Indirect Services to drive category strategy across key corporate spend areas including HR Services, Professional Services, and Facilities. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide procurement decisions, lead strategic supplier relationships, and partner with senior executives across a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies for HR Services, Professional Services, and Facilities spend.
- Lead complex sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and contract management activities with global suppliers.
- Drive cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Real Estate, and business leadership teams.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals while fostering best practices across the procurement organization.
- Manage executive-level supplier relationships and oversee strategic vendor governance programs.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier value, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement experience.
- Experience managing indirect spend categories such as HR Services, Professional Services, Facilities, Consulting, Contingent Workforce, or Corporate Services.
- Previous people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Experience developing category strategies and leading enterprise-wide sourcing programs.
