Director of Operations
Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing organization, is seeking a Director of Operations to lead operations at a key manufacturing facility. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, production performance, employee development, and continuous improvement while ensuring the facility achieves high standards in safety, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across manufacturing operations, workforce development, and overall site performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve safety, quality, production, reliability, and operational targets.
- Manage plant budgets, assets, capital priorities, and resources while driving productivity and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive employee engagement, leadership development, accountability, and succession planning initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to execute strategic initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of operational excellence, continuous improvement, safety, and manufacturing performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Chemical, specialty chemical, petrochemical, or related process manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
