EHS Manager
Position Overview
DSJ global is partnered with a leading food and beverage manufacturing organization who is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead and execute facility-wide environmental, health, and safety programs. This individual will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures that align with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments; identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the site expert for environmental compliance, workplace safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and hazardous materials management.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership teams.
- Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and key performance indicators to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and response plans and ensure regular testing and training.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, human resources, and leadership teams to strengthen the site's safety culture.
- Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting requirements.
- Lead and mentor EHS personnel and provide guidance to site leadership on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing EHS programs and initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and related regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to influence change, build partnerships, and promote a culture of safety.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent are highly preferred.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Day Shift
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
