EHS/Environmental Engineer required for leading aerospace manufacturer

The EHS/Environmental Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence with local, state, and federal regulations
- Support sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste generation
- Track and analyze environmental performance metrics using ESG and EHS management systems
- Monitor and report environmental KPIs and support site-level sustainability objectives
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain environmental records related to VOC emissions, hazardous waste, wastewater, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Collect and coordinate sampling activities for stormwater, wastewater, and environmental compliance programs
- Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and compliance documentation, including emissions and wastewater reporting
- Serve as a key EHS resource to site leadership and operational teams across multiple facilities
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Develop, update, and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs
- Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and support EHS risk assessment activities
- Deliver employee safety training and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization
- Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Monitor EHS performance metrics, regulatory compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
The ideal EHS/Environmental Engineer candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational safety programs.
- Experience with Title V air permitting and industrial wastewater compliance
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting, and environmental performance metrics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management software platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across sites
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- CIH, CHMM, CPEA, or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus
