Engineering Program Manager

Overview

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a global automotive parts manufacturing company who is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to lead engineering teams supporting customer-driven programs within a high-volume production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing product design, manufacturing engineering, and industrialization activities while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout program development, support manufacturing launches, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering operations. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, customer-focused manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all engineering activities.
  • Lead and manage product design, manufacturing engineering, and technical project teams.
  • Oversee the development of product, process, and equipment solutions to support customer programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and cost estimates during proposal and project planning phases.
  • Ensure projects achieve established quality, cost, and timing objectives.
  • Develop resource plans, balance workloads, and manage engineering team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company engineering standards, best practices, and lessons learned processes.
  • Support production launches, tooling readiness, and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Manage external engineering resources, including CAD and technical service providers.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver successful program outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and standardization initiatives.
  • Monitor budgets, capital investments, and engineering expenditures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and industrial operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage teams, priorities, and project deliverables.
  • Experience managing budgets, resource planning, and capital investments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
