The Engineering Quality Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Own and drive engineering quality across complex, project‑based products from early design through delivery
- Lead and support technical risk management activities, including FMEA, ensuring risks are identified early and actions are driven to closure
- Define, interpret, and enforce engineering standards, specifications, and requirements across projects.
- Review customer specifications and regulatory requirements and ensure they are properly translated into engineering designs and quality plans.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams to embed quality requirements across the full value chain.
- Monitor engineering quality, risk, and compliance KPIs, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Support design verification, validation, and requirements management activities to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable products.
- Interface with certification bodies, authorities, and internal stakeholders on engineering quality, compliance, and risk topics.
- Train and coach teams on quality tools, methodologies, and expectations, including FMEA, standards application, and continuous improvement.
- Drive a culture of accountability, decision‑making, and continuous improvement within engineering quality
The ideal Engineering Quality Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or similar)
- 7+ years of experience in engineering quality, technical risk, or related roles within complex, project‑based environments
- Strong experience in either or both of the following areas:
- Technical risk management and FMEA (DFMEA, PFMEA, system‑level risk), or
- Engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams
- Proven ownership of quality or engineering KPIs and comfort operating in a performance‑driven environment
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and willingness to make decisions and take accountability
- Familiarity with regulated industries and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Willingness to travel as needed
