Overview
A leading US semiconductor company is seeking a senior procurement leader to oversee global sourcing strategy and supplier management across outsourced manufacturing, OSAT partners, and assembly & test materials. This role will be responsible for driving supply continuity, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and long-term sourcing strategy across a complex global semiconductor supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for outsourced manufacturing, OSAT services, assembly, test, and packaging materials.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure capacity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier governance activities.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through capacity planning, supplier diversification, and contingency strategies.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support business growth and technology roadmaps.
- Lead a global procurement organization and develop high-performing teams.
- Drive procurement excellence through analytics, digital tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or supplier management experience within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong expertise in outsourced manufacturing, semiconductor assembly and test operations, and supplier ecosystems.
- Proven experience managing strategic supplier relationships and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Deep understanding of cost modelling, category management, capacity planning, and supply risk management.
- Experience leading global teams and influencing senior stakeholders across international organizations.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and leadership capabilities
- Direct experience managing OSAT suppliers and outsourced semiconductor manufacturing partners.
- Experience supporting global semiconductor manufacturing networks.
- Background in procurement transformation, digitalization, or AI-enabled sourcing initiatives.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor supply chain dynamics and market trends.
