Head of Operations and Production - Guangdong (Ladies' Apparel and Intimate)

We are partnering with an ambitious ladies' lifestyle fashion and intimate brand with HQ in Seoul, R&D lab and sourcing office in China, on a search for a Head of Operations and Production - Guangdong (Ladies' Apparel & Intimate) to lead and scale its production platform across Southern China. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a next-generation manufacturing model that combines China's production speed, world-class product development, and global market reach.

You will take ownership of production operations, supplier partnerships, quality performance, and manufacturing innovation across key facilities and vendor networks in Guangdong Province.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead China Manufacturing Operations

  • Oversee production activities across production lab and sourcing office in Guangdong manufacturing ecosystems.
  • Manage factory partnerships, supplier performance, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Secure and develop reliable production capacity to support rapid business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with factory owners and key manufacturing partners.

Build Agile Supply Chain & Production Systems

  • Develop responsive manufacturing models to support quick replenishment and fast product launches.
  • Standardize materials, trims, and production processes to increase speed and scalability.
  • Drive production planning initiatives that improve flexibility and reduce lead times.
  • Establish efficient workflows to support high-growth business demands.

Build & Lead Local Teams

  • Recruit, develop, and manage local production, sourcing, quality, and technical teams.
  • Act as the key operational decision-maker on the ground in China.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on speed, quality, and execution.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Introduce automation, digitization, and manufacturing innovation initiatives.
  • Improve factory productivity, efficiency, and product quality through technology and process optimization.
  • Implement scalable systems and KPI-driven performance management.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience within fast fashion apparel, intimate or related garment manufacturing industries.
  • Proven success managing China-based production operations and supplier networks.
  • Strong experience building manufacturing or sourcing infrastructures from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of production planning, factory operations, quality management, and vendor development.
  • Experience negotiating directly with factories and manufacturing partners.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with underwear, intimates, seamless garments, activewear, or knitwear categories is highly desired.
  • Background from fast-fashion, agile manufacturing, or quick-response production environments.
  • Experience working with or for leading apparel manufacturers, sourcing organizations, or digital-native fashion brands.
  • Experience bridging regional teams across Asia, particularly China and HQ in Korea.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese speaking is a must, as well as either fluent in Korean or English.
