My client is seeking a proactive and approachable HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions across the full employee lifecycle. This role involves working closely with HR leadership and requires comfort in both office and factory/production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support core HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave management, employee relations, performance and talent management, training and development, and health and safety.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, as well as manage pre-employment and offboarding processes.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, ensuring professionalism and compliance.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and assist in drafting and maintaining HR documentation such as policies, forms, memos, templates, and letters.
- Recommend and help implement new HR procedures and policies to enhance employee experience and departmental efficiency.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company-wide appreciation events.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and regularly review internal practices to maintain alignment with legal standards.
- Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies in talent management and employment law.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the HR function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; SHRM certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of cultural awareness and ethical standards.
- Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a resourceful mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
