IT Category Manager
We are supporting a digital marketplace leader in their search IT Category Manager to play a strategic role in managing the sourcing and procurement of technology-related goods and services. This role is responsible for analyzing spend data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement and IT governance policies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience with contract negotiation, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to drive value and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze procurement data and IT vendor contracts to identify cost-reduction, consolidation, and optimization opportunities across software, hardware, cloud, and services.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to support sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and risk assessments.
- Lead RFPs, RFIs, and vendor evaluations for technology purchases and services.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, IT security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, redlining, and monitoring of MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and licensing agreements.
- Track vendor performance, manage renewals, and monitor license utilization to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a strong focus on IT categories.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract structures, and vendor management best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with technical and legal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with contract negotiation and legal review processes for technology agreements.
