A lead electrical equipment manufacturer is seeking a Key Account Director to manage and grow relationships with major utility and strategic customers. This role focuses on long‑term account strategy, complex sales leadership, and cross‑functional coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic account planning and executive‑level engagement for utility accounts across the southeast
- Identify customer needs and align solutions to long‑term goals.
- Drive major sales opportunities from discovery through negotiation and close.
- Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams to support customer initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes to adjust account strategy.
- Maintain accurate account activity, pipeline details, and forecasting within CRM tools.
- Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in the electric power industry or utility‑focused environment.
- Experience managing major or strategic accounts.
- Strong technical understanding of power systems and medium voltage products
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Salesforce experience a plus.
- Ability to travel across the region
