About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing aerospace manufacturer in the Miami, FL area seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to support and oversee inspection activities across manufacturing and production operations. This individual will serve as a technical leader within the quality organization, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality processes while providing direct leadership and guidance to inspection personnel.

Responsibilities
- Lead daily inspection activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to quality inspectors and inspection personnel.
- Perform and oversee first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections.
- Review inspection reports and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support investigations related to nonconforming materials, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Assist in preparation for internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Monitor inspection metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and teamwork throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of quality inspection experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a leadership, lead, supervisor, or direct people management role.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, quality systems, and inspection methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience utilizing precision measurement equipment and inspection tools
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ certifications (CQI, CQA, or related) preferred.
- Airframe and Powerplant License under part 65.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 requirements.
