Role Overview
As Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will lead maintenance and reliability operations at a high-performing production site. Your mission is to ensure maximum equipment up time, optimise reliability strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. This organisation works with heavy machinery equipment used to process bulk materials and so this is something that would be within your line of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all maintenance and reliability activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
- Oversee maintenance of rotating and static equipment, including conveyors, elevators, extractors, and pumps.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify critical areas for reliability improvement.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to align maintenance strategies with operational goals.
- Develop and mentor maintenance personnel, fostering technical excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimise maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and maintenance planning tools.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; German fluency is preferred also.
