Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate all maintenance, repair, and facility improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance personnel, driving preventative and corrective maintenance initiatives, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise across facility and production systems, and a proven ability to manage maintenance teams while supporting operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support personnel.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and staffing needs to ensure optimal department performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback, training, and professional development.
  • Address employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Maintenance & Reliability

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Evaluate equipment and facility conditions to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repair activities.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Manage communication and workflow coordination between maintenance shifts to ensure operational continuity.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring failures.

Projects & Budget Management

  • Plan and manage facility and maintenance-related capital improvement projects.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance budgets, forecasting expenditures, and controlling project costs.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources to successfully execute maintenance and facility projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable regulatory and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance leadership, supervision, or related maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
  • Ability to obtain access to export-controlled information as required by applicable regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of industrial facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical prints.
  • Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems for maintenance planning and tracking.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
