Job Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance production processes for a leading Utilities Clean Air manufacturer. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, improving tooling and equipment, and contributing to product development and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

  • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives on the production floor
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows and methods
  • Enhance tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production needs
  • Support cost reduction and environmental sustainability efforts
  • Collaborate on new product development and introduction projects
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Maintain accurate documentation including drawings, BOMs, and routings
  • Travel up to 15% may be required, including domestic and occasional international trips
  • Execute special projects and other assigned tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or similar technical role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in a production environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and manuals
  • Advanced mathematical and statistical skills
  • Preferred certifications: Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), PMP
