Job Title: Material Planner

Overview:
As a Material Planner, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components needed for manufacturing operations. You'll lead forecasting, planning, and purchase order processes to support production schedules, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business profitability. This role requires strong collaboration across teams and with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely product delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Procurement

  • Manage forecasting, purchase order creation, and supply tracking for assigned commodities and suppliers.
  • Ensure uninterrupted material availability to meet production demands.
  • Maintain proactive communication with suppliers and internal teams to support smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance and reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Use data-driven analysis to monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

Manufacturing & Operational Support

  • Partner with manufacturing and materials teams to resolve supply-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Work closely with quality teams to support supplier improvement initiatives and corrective actions.

Leadership & Communication

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate proactively with suppliers, carriers, and third-party partners to anticipate and resolve potential supply disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in materials planning, manufacturing, or supply chain roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and inventory management practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and drive results across teams.
