Plant Engineer
Role Overview
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading manufacturing organization seeking a Plant Engineer to join their team in the Southeast. This role will serve as a key technical resource focused on process optimization, manufacturing troubleshooting, product quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong process engineering foundation coupled with an understanding of material behavior within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting complex production processes, leading root cause investigations, and driving sustainable operational improvements is highly desired.

Responsibilities
- Lead process troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to quality, production, and reliability issues.
- Support material evaluations and identify opportunities to improve product consistency and manufacturing performance.
- Conduct RCA, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving activities.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize production and process data to improve safety, quality, throughput, and reliability.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Provide technical support for process startups, modifications, and production challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience within a process-driven environment.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong background in RCA, FMEA, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations and production teams.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.
