A leading semiconductor manufacturer is expanding its advanced R&D capabilities and is seeking experienced Process Development Engineers to support the development of next-generation semiconductor technologies.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy working in a highly technical, low-hierarchy environment where innovation, ownership and collaboration are valued. The team is focused on developing advanced semiconductor processes and is particularly interested in individuals with experience in wide-bandgap semiconductors, semiconductor R&D and process integration.

Description

As a Process Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, optimisation and integration of advanced semiconductor processes. Working within a highly collaborative R&D environment, you will partner closely with device engineers, process specialists, simulation experts and customers to drive technology innovation from concept through to industrialisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimising semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Designing, executing and analysing process development experiments.
  • Supporting technology development and process integration activities.
  • Investigating process challenges and implementing robust technical solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and customers.
  • Contributing to the introduction of new technologies and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Driving continuous innovation within advanced semiconductor R&D programmes.

Requirements

  • Degree, MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in semiconductor process development, process integration, device development or technology R&D.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical projects.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, collaborative engineering environment.

Candidates from adjacent semiconductor disciplines are encouraged to apply, particularly those with a strong process development or R&D background.
