As Procurement Excellence Lead, you will shape, govern, and continuously refine global procurement processes - ensuring consistency, high performance, and flawless execution at scale.
You'll set the framework for how procurement operates globally, while empowering regional teams to deliver operational excellence locally.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of process design, digital enablement, governance, and strategic stakeholder influence.
Key Responsibilities
Global Procurement Process Leadership
- Own and design the global Source‑to‑Contract, Procure‑to‑Pay, and Supplier Relationship Management frameworks.
- Analyse current practices and ERP workflows across regions to identify variations and improvement opportunities.
- Establish global minimum standards, ensuring harmonisation while preserving necessary regional flexibility.
- Maintain all global process documentation, decision rights, and change governance.
Performance, KPIs & Value Creation
- Translate the procurement strategy into measurable, outcome‑driven KPIs.
- Own and track process performance indicators such as efficiency, compliance, cycle times, automation levels, and value delivery.
- Leverage data insights to drive transparency, optimise performance, and simplify ways of working.
- Collaborate with Finance, Master Data, and Analytics teams to ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and value tracking.
Systems & Digital Procurement Enablement
- Define procurement process requirements across ERP systems and procurement technology platforms.
- Ensure consistency, usability, and data integrity across all digital procurement tools.
- Partner with IT, master data teams, and analytics to strengthen automation, reporting, and system adoption.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Lead the global procurement governance model and process forums.
- Align processes with corporate policies, ESG commitments, financial controls, and audit frameworks.
- Manage exceptions, deviations, and process-related risks.
- Act as the escalation point for global process decisions.
Change Leadership, Adoption & Capability Building
- Drive global implementation of new processes, tools, and system enhancements.
- Create and deliver training content, acting as the global subject matter expert for procurement processes.
- Support regional teams with adoption, capability building, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain global training standards, user guides, and the Procurement Excellence Handbook.
Cross-Functional Influence & Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with key functions including Procurement, Finance, IT, ESG, Internal Audit and regional leadership teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end process alignment.
- Influence senior stakeholders across multiple markets and business units without direct authority.
- Provide leadership and clarity during cross-functional decision-making and escalation forums.
