Procurement Manager - Healthcare - China

We are partnering with a global organization operating within a highly regulated production environment to appoint a Procurement Manager - Healthcare based in Guangzhou, China as regional office in Asia. This role will play a pivotal part in driving procurement excellence, category strategy, supplier performance, and operational execution across critical spending areas.

You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with internal standards, and maintaining critical procurement data within SAP to support uninterrupted business operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and performance management.
  • Develop and execute category management and sourcing strategies.
  • Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supply continuity initiatives.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and support business stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain purchasing information records, source lists, pricing data, and procurement master data within SAP.
  • Support procurement governance and approval processes.
  • Collaborate closely with quality, manufacturing, finance, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement leadership roles.
  • Strong background operating in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and leading commercial negotiations.
  • Good understanding of quality systems, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO, HACCP, or other relevant quality frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Hands-on SAP transaction execution experience, including direct involvement in procurement system activities rather than approval-only responsibilities.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and good in English
