Production Manager
Position Overview
The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance goals are achieved. This role leads production teams, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and works cross-functionally to drive efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, coach, and manage production personnel.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to improve performance and reliability.
- Monitor key operational metrics and support budget and cost management efforts.
- Drive quality improvements through process optimization, standardization, and corrective action programs
- Lead continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and other operational excellence methodologies.
- Manage departmental expenses and support annual operating and capital budget planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of chemcial manufacturing or industrial operations experience with leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading teams in a production environment.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with production processes, quality systems, and operational performance management
