Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This role is critical to ensuring their products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance within the automotive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in quality systems, a lean manufacturing mindset, and experience working in Tier 1, Tier 2, or OEM environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in accordance with IATF 16949, VDA, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for internal and external quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support APQP, PPAP, and FMEA activities throughout product development and launch phases.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns and resolution strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with IATF 16949, VDA, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Background in the automotive manufacturing industry, preferably with Tier 1, Tier 2, or OEM experience.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications in Auality (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
