Location: Maple Grove, MN Area

Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of advanced thermal management and cooling solutions supporting mission-critical data center infrastructure. As the organization continues to expand, they are seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality systems, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts at a highly automated manufacturing facility.

Position Overview

The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and leading all quality assurance and quality control activities. This individual will serve as the facility's quality subject matter expert, partnering closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality, reliability, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System & Compliance

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Support and coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
  • Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Establish, monitor, and report key quality metrics and cost-of-quality performance indicators.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

Product Quality & Reliability

  • Oversee quality standards for all manufactured products.
  • Support design and engineering reviews to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools to improve process capability and product performance.
  • Analyze quality trends and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.

Operations Quality Leadership

  • Own and manage the site's Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
  • Oversee non-conforming material controls and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to improve quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates and performance metrics to plant leadership.
  • Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees and leadership teams.
  • Lead and mentor quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of core quality tools, including:
    • FMEA
    • SPC
    • CAPA
    • PPAP
    • Internal and external auditing
  • Experience maintaining and improving ISO 9001-certified quality systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience within HVAC, thermal management, industrial equipment, engineered products, or related manufacturing environments.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
  • Experience supporting highly engineered or mission-critical products.
