Job Title: Sales Manager - Industrial Vehicles (Forklifts, Trailers, Special Machinery)
Location: South Germany (Remote - ideally based in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, or Saarland)
Industry: OEM - Industrial Machinery & Special Vehicle Manufacturing
Company Overview:
We are partnering with a fast-growing OEM in the industrial and special vehicle sector. The company, a 200-employee subsidiary of a 3,000-person international machinery group, specializes in the design and production of high-quality vehicles including forklifts, trailers, cranes, and other special-purpose machinery.
They are playing a key role in driving sustainability across the industrial mobility space, with a clear focus on energy-efficient solutions and innovation-led design. Their early investments in sustainable vehicle technology and infrastructure have put them in a strong strategic position, both commercially and reputationally - and they're now building on that momentum.
They work on a 70:20 serial:project production split.
With solid profitability and the backing of a larger group, they are planning to more than double their output, reinvigorating the South German market and expanding their commercial footprint across the region.
The Role:
This is a newly created position with strong future upside - ideal for someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to build something long-term. You'll be the go-to commercial lead for South Germany, working closely with customers to understand technical requirements and drive tailored solutions across a broad product range.
You'll also play a key part in shaping sales strategy, identifying new commercial opportunities, and feeding market insight back into the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and expand customer relationships across South Germany
Translate technical vehicle features into commercial benefits for customers
Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure a consultative sales process
Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in the industrial vehicle space
Negotiate and close contracts while managing the full sales cycle
Provide ongoing market feedback and sales reporting
Contribute to the broader growth strategy of the business unit
Ideal Background:
Sales experience in industrial machinery or adjacent sectors (e.g., trucks, forklifts, trailers, loaders, cranes, agricultural/construction vehicles, airport machinery)
Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems and operations
Proven ability to build relationships and convert sales in B2B environments
Fluent in German; English is a plus
Based in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, or Saarland with willingness to travel ~80%
