Senior Category Manager
A global leader in digital retail is embarking on an ambitious European expansion - and we're building a world-class commercial team to make it happen.
We're hiring multiple Category Managers across a range of verticals, including Beauty, Consumer Electronics, Home, Food & Beverage, FMCG, and more. These hires will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, growth, and market positioning of their categories as we scale across Europe.
The Opportunity:
This is not a "follow-the-playbook" role. We're looking for people who thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments - builders, problem-solvers and innovators who know how to turn vision into commercial success. You'll be working in a business with significant existing global operations, but the mindset of a start-up: agile, entrepreneurial and laser-focused on growth.
What You'll Do:
- Own category strategy end-to-end, from supplier acquisition and negotiations to pricing, promotion and performance.
- Drive revenue growth and market share through data-led decision-making and creative commercial initiatives.
- Shape the European go-to-market approach for your category, influencing everything from customer proposition to brand partnerships.
- Build and leverage strong industry networks to unlock new business opportunities and supplier relationships.
- Take ownership of onboarding new brands and products, managing everything from initial outreach and supplier agreements to launch execution and post-launch performance tracking.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to elevate the category's digital presence - refining merchandising logic, enhancing product discovery pathways, and shaping a seamless, conversion-optimized customer journey.
- Leverage advanced analytics and performance data to uncover category trends, customer behaviors, and growth opportunities - continuously evolving strategy to maximize traffic, conversion, and profitability.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in retail, marketplace, or e-commerce category management.
- A strong desire to build and scale a category.
- Strategic mindset and commercial acumen, with the ability to operate autonomously and make high-impact decisions.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and an existing network within your category.
