Senior Director of Manufacturing

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director of Manufacturing to lead and optimize operational performance across a dynamic organization. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading high-performing teams, improving business processes, and ensuring the successful execution of organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with a strong track record of driving continuous improvement, developing talent, and executing business strategies in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for operational functions across multiple manufacturing sites, departments, or business units.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Oversee resource planning, workforce optimization, and operational budgeting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Sales, Engineering, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, and company standards.
  • Support business growth initiatives, capital projects, and organizational transformation efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Progressive leadership experience within operations, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or related environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams and driving operational improvements across complex organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead change, and build high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or other operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
