DSJ Global is partnered with a leading global food manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to join its procurement leadership team. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across critical ingredient categories that support a large-scale international manufacturing network. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex supplier relationships, manage commodity market exposure, influence global sourcing decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, operations, finance, quality, planning, and product development. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving cost optimization, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and long-term supplier performance across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for key ingredient and commodity categories for over a $500M annual spend.
Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and ongoing supplier performance initiatives.
Drive savings through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, specification alignment, and value improvement programs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational, quality, and commercial objectives.
Monitor commodity markets, industry trends, and supply risks to inform sourcing decisions and budget planning.
Support forecasting, cost management, and commodity risk mitigation initiatives, including collaboration with finance and treasury stakeholders where applicable.
Build strong supplier partnerships that enhance supply security, innovation, and long-term value creation.
Ensure sourcing strategies support business continuity across a global manufacturing footprint.
Provide market intelligence and category expertise to senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to simplify supplier networks, improve procurement efficiency, and increase leverage across regions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience.
Experience managing direct material, ingredient, commodity, or agricultural categories preferred.
Strong supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
Demonstrated success delivering cost savings, risk reduction, and supplier performance improvements.
Experience working in a complex manufacturing or consumer products environment.
Knowledge of commodity markets, market analysis, and supply risk management is highly preferred.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
Location: Boise, ID (relocation assistance could be provided)
Travel: Up to 25%
