Senior Transportation Manager
- Lead and develop a team of Transportation Managers through coaching, performance management, training, and leadership development.
- Drive a people-first culture focused on safety, service, operational execution, and accountability.
- Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring successful dispatch execution, driver readiness, and service performance.
- Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, customer service, and cost performance.
- Partner closely with operations, warehouse, HR, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Build and maintain high-performing transportation teams through effective hiring, retention, engagement, and succession planning.
- Support compliance with DOT regulations, safety programs, company policies, and labor relations where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and service reliability.
- 5+ years of transportation, distribution, logistics, fleet, or delivery leadership experience.
- Previous experience managing managers and developing leadership teams.
- Strong background in high-volume distribution, transportation, foodservice, grocery, beverage, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success building safety-focused cultures and leading operational performance improvements.
- Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience analyzing operational KPIs and using data to drive decision-making and accountability.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation best practices, and multi-site operations preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in the Salem/Woodburn area and support a Monday-Friday schedule with an early morning start time.
