Site Procurement Manager

An investmenet management firm is seeking a Procurement Associate - Mechanical Equipment to support a large-scale data center construction program. This role is responsible for purchasing owner-furnished mechanical equipment, managing purchase orders, expediting long-lead items, and coordinating deliveries with construction and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage purchase orders for mechanical equipment and systems, including:
    • Chillers
    • Cooling Towers
    • CRAH Units
    • Fan Wall Units
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    • Pumps
    • Piping Packages
    • Valve Packages
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • HVAC Systems and Related Mechanical Equipment
  • Support sourcing activities, RFQs, supplier communications, and bid evaluations.
  • Track production schedules, delivery milestones, and lead times for critical equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment logistics, delivery sequencing, receiving, and site readiness with construction partners.
  • Manage purchase order changes, payments, invoicing issues, and supplier performance.
  • Track submittals, drawing approvals, FAT schedules, and warranty claims.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience.
  • Experience buying mechanical, HVAC, engineered equipment, construction materials, or capital equipment.
  • Knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing long-lead equipment and delivery schedules.
  • Understanding of commercial terms, freight, warranties, and supplier management.
  • Strong Excel, tracking, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or industrial construction environments.
  • OFCI procurement models and working with EPC or general contractors.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365, Coupa, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Ability to review equipment specifications, schedules, and technical submittals.
