Sr. Electrical Reliability Engineer

Overview

Our partner is an industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer to lead electrical asset reliability and maintenance strategy across a large production facility. This role serves as the subject matter expert for electrical systems, driving improvements in safety, uptime, and long‑term equipment performance through advanced reliability methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and optimization of electrical reliability programs, including RCM, failure mode analysis, and maintenance strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical equipment failures and drive root cause analysis with sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement predictive and condition‑based maintenance programs.
  • Oversee reliability improvements for electrical distribution systems, including motors, drives, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and prioritize reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve asset performance and reliability culture.
  • Support capital projects related to electrical upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, reliability, or maintenance within industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including distribution, motors, drives, and protective relaying.
  • Experience with reliability methodologies such as RCM, RCA, and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards (NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in pulp and paper manufacturing or heavy industrial process environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems and digital reliability tools.
  • Experience with arc flash studies, system modeling, or power analysis.
  • Professional certifications (CMRP, CRE).
