Sr. HR Generalist

A leading U.S.-based advanced materials company focused on rare earth production is building a fully integrated domestic supply chain for critical minerals. The organization operates one of the largest and highest-grade rare earth deposits in the Western Hemisphere and manages end-to-end capabilities across mining, processing, refining, and magnet manufacturing. They are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support a key production site. This role will act as a critical on-site HR leader, partnering closely with operations to drive employee engagement, ensure compliance, and support overall site performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for site leadership and employees
  • Partner with managers on employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of talent
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, high-performance culture
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Administer and support HR programs including performance reviews, compensation, and benefits
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Partner with leadership on organizational changes, including restructuring and change management initiatives
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems and reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence leadership in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
