Sr Strategic Sourcing Lead

A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Lead to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across electrical and electronic component categories. This role partners closely with global and regional sourcing teams, suppliers, engineering, operations, and procurement stakeholders to support supplier strategy, cost optimization, and supply continuity. The ideal candidate brings strong sourcing experience, analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing initiatives for electrical and electronic component categories across multiple business units and locations.
  • Partner with sourcing teams to identify, evaluate, develop, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure continuity of supply.

Cost Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive cost reduction and cost management initiatives through supplier engagement and data analysis.
  • Monitor commodity pricing, supplier performance, and spend trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support sourcing strategies that improve supply resiliency, responsiveness, and overall business performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, engineering, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives.
  • Coordinate sourcing projects and drive alignment across teams and suppliers.
  • Support implementation of sourcing initiatives from planning through execution.

Project & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Lead and support strategic sourcing projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and objectives are met.
  • Develop action plans and tracking mechanisms to support execution and performance measurement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and enhance supply chain effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or operations.
  • Experience sourcing electrical, electronic, or technical components preferred.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and supplier management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Travel

  • Approximately 15% travel as needed.
