Our client is a global automotive manufacturer serving leading OEMs through a network of advanced production facilities across North America and internationally. The organization is known for its operational excellence, customer focus, and commitment to continuous improvement.

They are seeking a Plant Supply Chain Manager to lead Production Control, Materials Management, Warehouse Operations, and Customer Delivery Performance at a high-volume manufacturing facility.

Position Summary

The Plant Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing production control, scheduling, material planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and customer delivery performance within a fast-paced JIT/JIS manufacturing environment.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational performance, develop teams, and effectively manage changing customer requirements while ensuring uninterrupted material flow throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Production Control, Scheduling, and Material Planning activities.
  • Ensure on-time customer delivery performance in a JIT/JIS environment.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, shipping, and receiving.
  • Partner with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, and customers to resolve supply chain disruptions.
  • Drive inventory accuracy, inventory reduction initiatives, and material availability.
  • Lead and develop warehouse, logistics, and production control teams.
  • Monitor KPIs including delivery performance, inventory turns, premium freight, inventory accuracy, and schedule attainment.
  • Support new product launches and operational readiness activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and quality system requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within Supply Chain, Materials, Production Control, or Logistics.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong understanding of JIT and JIS operations.
  • Experience leading both Production Control and Warehouse Operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • SAP or ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Strong customer-facing supply chain experience.
  • APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
