Production Planner
JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Production Planner to support manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer demand, inventory objectives, and plant capacity. This position works closely with manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure products are produced and delivered efficiently while maintaining high service levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure production plans support business objectives and delivery commitments.
- Create and manage production-related transactions within the ERP system.
- Monitor manufacturing performance against schedule and adjust priorities as needed to address changing business needs.
- Lead scheduling reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding maintenance activities, inventory considerations, and production constraints.
- Support inventory management activities, reporting, and order fulfillment processes.
- Provide schedule updates and communicate potential delays or risks to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to planning processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations.
- Experience working within an ERP system; SAP experience is highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
