Supply Chain Manager
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to provide strategic leadership across procurement, production planning, scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and material control functions. This role is responsible for aligning sourcing activities, production requirements, material availability, and project schedules to ensure efficient execution of complex projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, operational discipline, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in a project-based environment.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead procurement, planning, scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and material control functions.
- Establish priorities, processes, and performance expectations that support project and operational objectives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration while proactively identifying and resolving supply chain, schedule, cost, quality, and supplier risks.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Oversee sourcing, purchasing, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Ensure materials and services meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor critical purchases and long-lead items, implementing recovery plans as needed.
Planning, Inventory & Logistics
- Manage production schedules, material readiness, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics activities.
- Coordinate material movement and availability to support project schedules and operational priorities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and effective material control processes.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to procurement, inventory, supplier performance, and schedule execution.
- Partner with finance and operational teams to support forecasting, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
- Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, planning, material control, operations, or related functions.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional operations.
- Strong experience with procurement, production planning, inventory control, supplier management, and performance reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with planning, scheduling, procurement, or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
