This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of facility infrastructure and utilities across production sites. Role Description

As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving facility systems, including utilities, building infrastructure, and environmental compliance. You will manage projects from concept through execution, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to safety and sustainability standards.

  • Oversee facility infrastructure and utility systems (HVAC, compressed air, water, steam, refrigeration).
  • Plan and execute maintenance programs to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Lead facility-related projects, including renovations, upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and cost analyses for improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepare reports on facility performance, energy consumption, and sustainability metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in facility engineering or utilities management, ideally within the food or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and building services.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD and CMMS systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in German and English; willingness to travel within Europe.
  • Valid driver's license.
