Environmental & Quality Process Engineer
A leading paper and packaging manufacturer is seeking a Quality Systems & Environmental Engineer to join its team. This is more than a quality role, it's an opportunity to drive product excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing operation. The Quality Systems & Environmental Engineer will be responsible for:
- Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Analyze quality data and drive corrective actions to improve product and process performance.
- Partner with operations teams to reduce defects, improve product consistency, and support manufacturing excellence initiatives.
- Manage quality metrics, audits, and compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on quality, yield, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as backup to the Environmental Manager and support environmental compliance and sustainability programs.
The Quality Systems & Environmental Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Environmental, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or a related manufacturing role.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, auditing practices, and manufacturing quality systems.
- Six Sigma, CQE, CQA, or ISO Lead Auditor certifications preferred.
