Lead Wiring Engineer

Company Summary:
One of the worlds leading truck, bus and construction equipment manufacturers is looking for their next Lead Wiring Engineer. This Lead Wiring Engineer will design various wiring harness families.
The Lead Wiring Engineer would be responsible for:
- Serve as a full-performance engineer with ownership of the design and release timing of various wiring harness families within a defined truck brand.
- Develop and implement complex electrical wiring harness projects, including related routing and clipping solutions.
- Ensure design correctness and completeness for all wiring harness releases within area of responsibility.
- Select best value wiring harness components based on engineering calculations.
- Support wiring harness supplier(s) with implementing and industrializing wiring harness designs.
The Lead Wiring Engineer would have the following qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; M.S. Preferred
- 8+ years of related industry experience
- Expert knowledge of development processes for wiring harnesses is a Must
- SAE, IEEE, and Mil standards
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems
- Automotive or commercial vehicle experience is required
