Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Position Summary
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading paper manufacturing organization that is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, utilities, facilities, and planning functions at a large continuous manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, maximizing asset performance, improving maintenance processes, and leading a high-performing maintenance team in support of safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related technical field preferred.
- 10+ years of maintenance experience within a paper manufacturing environment or transferable manufacturing industries .
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, reliability programs, CMMS systems, and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience in high-speed, continuous paper manufacturing environments.
- Strong background leading maintenance and reliability teams.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, utility, and facility systems.
- Demonstrated success improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving operational performance
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop maintenance, reliability, planning, and technical teams.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel while supporting succession planning and talent development.
- Assist with recruiting and retaining skilled maintenance professionals.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and establish priorities aligned with production objectives.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Lead reliability improvement initiatives and root cause failure analysis efforts.
- Coordinate planned outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance activities.
- Develop long-term asset management and equipment lifecycle strategies.
CMMS & Work Management
- Manage and continuously improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Oversee maintenance KPIs, work order management, and compliance metrics.
- Improve schedule adherence, PM completion rates, and overall maintenance effectiveness.
Budgeting & Asset Management
- Develop and manage maintenance operating budgets.
- Monitor maintenance spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support capital projects and long-range equipment replacement planning.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to optimize spare parts and inventory strategies.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion safe maintenance practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support environmental and safety initiatives across the facility.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.
