A leading aerospace manufacturing company is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team near Hartford, CT. This person is responsible for procuring aero-derivative, industrial gas turbine, and power turbine parts. This includes sourcing raw materials for assembly and pick-level parts.
Responsibilities:
- Requires leadership knowledge to lead buyers for engine part programs.
- Need to identify, develop, and consolidate vendors for competitive pricing.
- Ensure team compliance with Procurement Manual and standard work.
- Collaborate with Program Office, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
- Responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships, including supplier delivery and quality performance, cost, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Manager or supervisor experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- SAP and Advanced Excel.
