Position Overview:
As the Team Lead Solution Design Manager specializing in contract logistics, you will lead a team of solution design experts focused on developing customized supply chain solutions across the EMEA region. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our response to tender requests, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver competitive proposals and secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team of solution design specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment focused on delivering winning solutions.
- Tender Management: Lead the end-to-end tender management process, from initial opportunity identification through final submission, ensuring alignment with client requirements, pricing strategies, and profitability targets.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive contract logistics solutions tailored to the specific needs of EMEA tender opportunities, leveraging industry best practices, data analysis, and innovative technologies.
- Client Engagement: Partner with sales teams and key stakeholders to understand client needs, address inquiries, and develop compelling proposals and presentations that demonstrate our capabilities, value proposition, and differentiation in the market.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of solution design projects, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely delivery and successful implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the solution design team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization to improve efficiency and responsiveness in tender management.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the EMEA region, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and enhance our competitive position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract logistics solution design.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve excellence in tender management and solution design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a track record of delivering successful solutions to complex supply chain challenges.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to diverse audiences, including clients, senior management, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain modeling software.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including tender management, proposal development, and contract negotiation, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Fluency in English and German, with additional language skills considered a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed throughout the EMEA region to support tender activities and client engagements.
