Vice President of Supply Chain Operations - Pharmaceuticals

A global biologics company is looking for a Vice President of Supply Chain Operations to lead their rapidly growing team. The Vice President of Supply Chain will oversee the critical functions of the supply chain including inventory management, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and customer service. The successful candidate will report directly into the executive leadership team and board members in this role and will play a critical role in developing process improvements, assessing root cause, and increasing efficiencies and productivity.
The Vice President of Supply Chain will have the following responsibilities:
- Run, manage, and oversee the purchasing, customer service, manufacturing, quality control, and inventory departments
- Drive development of regional process systems improvements to balance supply, demand, materials, stock replenishment, network optimization, inventory, cost and service
- Lead root cause analysis and work with the team to eliminate bottlenecks within the supply chain
- Act as a change agent for continuous improvement activities to improve performance while lowering overall cost
- Direct and ensure that all supply chain and purchasing activity, internally and externally, is handled in an ethical manner to enhance the company's reputation and improve relationships between employees, suppliers, and internal customers
- Establish a strong relationship between Supply Chain and the Proposal/Capture Business Development Processes to ensure Strategic Sourcing is in place
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's/MBA preferred)
- 15+ years of Supply Chain Management experience
- ERP implementation exposure (SAP preferred)
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to manage and work well with a team of individuals
