Warehouse & Distribution Manager Summary:
DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading organization looking to bring on a Warehousing Distribution Manager in the Charlotte Metro area. This individual will be responsible for multiple sites and well versed in Warehouse Operations, Distribution, and Transportation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current warehousing and logistics operations in each plant.
- Develop a phased implementation plan for the warehousing management solution.
- Lead the metrics team to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
- Implement a continuous improvement culture by analyzing metrics and driving operational enhancements.
- Develop and implement track and trace tools to monitor the movement of products in both inbound and outbound supply chains.
- Enhance visibility and communication throughout the supply chain.
- Explore and implement automation solutions in daily operations to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Transportation team to identify opportunities for automation and drive synergies.
- Implement systems and processes to improve inventory accuracy.
- Implement and optimize Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) for seamless logistics operations.
- Explore and integrate RFID technology for real-time tracking.
- Focus on improving On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms and use data to drive operational improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in Logistics Operations in a mid-sized corporate setting.
- Proven track record of working with corporate functions, demonstrating the ability to align logistics operations with overall corporate strategies.
- Hands-on experience in deploying Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- In-depth knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and freight optimization models.
- Operating knowledge of Oracle WM/TM and proficiency in track and trace tools.
- ASCM certification preferred, showcasing commitment to excellence in supply chain management
