Title: Associate Director, Software Sourcing
Location: Hybrid - Must be able to be onsite in Farmington, CT

Summary:
A global aerospace company is seeking an Associate Director, Software Sourcing to join its corporate services team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in software sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. The company operates at the forefront of advanced systems and services across commercial, defense, and government sectors, with a strong focus on emerging technologies such as quantum computing, electric propulsion, and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic negotiations for software contracts (SaaS, perpetual, and subscription) to secure favorable terms and support business objectives.
  • Draft, review, and revise software agreements including licenses, support contracts, and master service agreements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of contract drafts, negotiations, and final versions.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with IT Asset Management to support software license audits.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Cybersecurity teams to align contract terms with organizational goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory updates to inform contracting strategies.
  • Coordinate renewals, RFQs, and other engagements through an integrated master schedule.
  • Drive process improvements in contract management and deal tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • At least 12 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of IT software, support services, and professional agreements.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, MLOps, and Value-Added Reseller agreements.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and contract redlining.
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts that deliver cost savings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • U.S. citizenship required due to access restrictions on financial systems.
