HSE Manager (M/F/D)
The Opportunity
A global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to drive Environmental, Health & Safety performance across multiple, highly advanced production sites in Germany.
This is a highly visible role with responsibility for developing EHS strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting operational excellence initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Act as the primary contact for EHS-related matters.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS management systems, processes and programmes.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Support manufacturing teams with risk assessments, equipment changes, facility modifications and operational improvements.
- Drive EHS performance through KPI management, reporting and audit programmes.
- Collaborate with site leadership teams to embed a proactive safety culture.
- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and support inspections and certifications.
- Deliver improvement initiatives aimed at reducing risk and enhancing operational performance.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Qualification as a Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa) or equivalent.
- Experience leading EHS activities within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental compliance and relevant regulations.
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and management systems.
- Comfortable working with KPIs, dashboards and compliance reporting.
- Experience supporting audits, certifications and regulatory inspections.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent German and strong English language skills.
- Willingness to travel between sites as required.
