Senior Manager IT Procurement (Chinese speaker)
Overview
The Senior Manager, Procurement, will work closely with the VP of Procurement to support the IS&T software category teams. This position is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end procurement services, ensuring all purchase requests are managed in line with company standards. The role requires strong analytical capability, meticulous attention to detail when reviewing supplier quotations, and the ability to identify discrepancies before the Bid Analysis Review (BAR). The Senior Manager will lead complex sourcing initiatives, guide team members, and act as the department lead when the VP of Procurement is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day sourcing activities, including issuing RFQs and coordinating large‑scale tender exercises.
- Create purchase orders and monitor service and goods delivery to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Collaborate with business units to confirm requirements before initiating competitive bidding.
- Execute all procurement activities in accordance with internal policies and standard operating procedures.
- Assess supplier pricing submissions and highlight any irregularities or inconsistencies.
- Validate questionable pricing directly with suppliers when required.
- Conduct detailed bid evaluations and assessments.
- Maintain and update system records, item codes, and pricing information as needed.
- Lead strategic or highly complex sourcing projects.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to team members.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Hospitality, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience (strong industry experience may substitute for formal education).
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, preferably within large‑scale hospitality or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics and supplier landscapes.
- Experience working with procurement or sourcing systems is an advantage.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and spoken ability in both Traditional Chinese and English.
- High level of integrity paired with a proactive, hands‑on mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Team leadership experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage challenging situations effectively.
