Technical Services Specialist
Work Environment: Onsite
Travel: Approximately 25-50%
- Provide technical support for equipment and technology used within swine and poultry production environments, including automated feeding and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and equipment-related issues remotely through phone, email, and other communication platforms.
- Travel to customer and dealer locations to assist with equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation.
- Read and interpret electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings when diagnosing system issues.
- Document technical cases and service activity within a CRM/case management platform.
- Partner with internal Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Warranty teams to resolve complex field issues.
- Develop a strong working knowledge across the company's broader equipment and technology portfolio.
- Conduct both classroom and hands-on technical training for internal employees, distribution partners, and service technicians.
- Develop training materials covering equipment installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and operation.
- Help strengthen the technical capabilities of the company's dealer and service network.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, agricultural, or related discipline.
- Experience within poultry, swine, livestock, agricultural equipment, or a similar industrial environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and technicians with varying experience levels.
- Experience training, mentoring, or providing technical instruction to others is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving, facilitation, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to meet company requirements for operating a company vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25-50%.
