Account Manager

The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between key aerospace and defense customers and the manufacturing organization. This role drives customer satisfaction, oversees program execution, and supports business growth by managing long‑term relationships with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and defense contractors. The position requires strong communication, technical aptitude, and the ability to navigate a highly regulated and precision‑driven industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts within the aerospace and defense sector, ensuring consistent communication, on‑time delivery, and high‑quality service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, requirements, purchase orders, contract changes, and program updates.
  • Coordinate internally with engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams to ensure customer expectations and contract obligations are met.
  • Support pricing activities, contract reviews, and proposal development in compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ITAR, FAR/DFARS).
  • Monitor program performance, lead issue resolution, and drive continuous improvement efforts to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts, sales pipelines, and account plans.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth, new product introduction, and long‑term partnerships.
  • Support customer audits, performance reviews, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in account management or program management, ideally within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements (ITAR, DFARS, quality systems such as AS9100).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑facing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex programs, multiple priorities, and cross‑functional collaboration.
